About Me
Hi! My name is Danielle, but my childhood friends call me Flanny, my NYC friends call me DM, my parents call me Belly, and the boy in my kindergarten class called me Smelly Danielley. I call home Brighton, Michigan but I love nothing more than escaping the “Brighton Bubble” and traveling the world.

What do most people know about me? Well if I had things my way, I would live off pasta, parmesan cheese, dark chocolate and red wine, my dream house would have a succulent garden, I’d have a closet just for shoes and I would take a month off every winter to be a ski bum out west. Most people think my pasta addiction, shoe obsession, and love for hydrophobic plants is weird, but hey, if you’re not weird, then you’re not normal.
I grew up a die hard Wolverine, bleeding maize and blue, which is why the only college I applied to was the University of Michigan. In April 2018, I graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and in July 2018 I moved to New York City to work in Private Wealth Management. When I’m not in the office, you can catch me skiing, planning my next trip, sweating in spin class or figuring out which NYC restaurant I want to try next. Speaking of, if you’re interested in the NYC food scene, check out my sister blog, the NYC Restaurant Bucket List Checklist.
On January 27, 2017, I touched down in Krakow, Poland and I checked off the 2nd item on my bucket list: Travel to 25 countries under the age of 25. I had expanded that bucket list goal to travel to 50 countries under the age of 25 but COVID-19 put a wrench in my plan. While I missed my initial deadline, I hit country #50 when I crossed the Monaco boarder in August 2022. As of September 2023, I have explored 58 countries and I’m working to fill my second passport with stamps from around the world.
Anyways, if you care to learn more about the experiences of a 27-year-old, explore my blog for travel recommendations and bucket list desires!
Xoxo,
Danielle
